Sunderland 1-4 Man City: Black Cats not at their best - Gus Poyet

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet says his side gave Manchester City "too many options to attack" after they were beaten 4-1 by the champions at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats went ahead when Connor Wickham fired past Joe Hart but Argentina forward Aguero soon equalised with an unstoppable 16-yard finish before Stevan Jovetic fired through ex-City keeper Costel Pantilimon's legs. Pablo Zabaleta increased the visitors lead after the break before Aguero fired his 14th league goal of the season to make it 4-1.

The defeat was Sunderland first five league games but they are still just two points above the relegation zone.
