Manchester United 2-1 Stoke: Red Devils fought to the end - Van Gaal

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal was pleased to see his side withstand a spell of late pressure from Stoke in beating the Potters 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Goals from Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata gave United their fourth successive Premier League win, but Stoke's Mame Biram Diouf was twice denied an injury-time equaliser, thanks to a David de Gea save and Ashley Young's goal line clearance.

Manchester United have won six and lost none of their last seven home league games.
