Ports edge out Glenavon to move top

Portadown defeat Glenavon 3-2 in the Mid-Ulster derby at Shamrock Park to take over as the new Premiership pacesetters.

Chris Casement's penalty and a Sean Mackle goal put the Ports 2-0 ahead before Rhys Marshall pulled one back.

Mark McAllister added a third for the hosts and they held on after Eoin Bradley's strike and losing Keith O'Hara to a red card.
