Northern Ireland not too despondent - Gareth McAuley

Northern Ireland captain Gareth McAuley says the players are not too downbeat after their 2-0 Euro 2016 qualifying defeat by Romania in Bucharest.

Two second-half goals from Paul Papp ended Northern Ireland's three-game winning run and took Romania top of Group F at their expense.

"We were defending for our lives so something was going to give," said West Bromwich Albion defender McAuley.

"We can't complain when we see our haul of nine points from our first four games and we will now focus on the match against Finland in Belfast in March."
