O'Neill says booing won't bother duo

Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill says booing won't affect his Scottish-born players Aiden McGeady and James McCarthy in Friday's Euro 2016 qualifier at Celtic Park.

Former Scotland international Gordon McQueen said the pair deserve a "horrible reception" in the game and Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given insisted on Tuesday that such remarks were "uncalled for".

"They are very fine players and I think they are able to cope with anything that might come their way," said Republic boss O'Neill.
