Port Vale manager Micky Adams says there is no easy fix to restore missing confidence to an under-performing footballer.
Vale's sixth successive defeat, at home to League One leaders Bristol City, has left them next to bottom of the table.
"I've been a player myself." he told BBC Radio Stoke. "I know there's not a pill you can buy across the counter that gives you confidence.
"They're playing without confidence, which is evident, But every player can go through a crisis of confidence. It's all about how you get through it."
