Spain 1-5 Netherlands: It could have been eight - Van Persie

Robin van Persie says Netherlands could have scored "six, seven or eight" after the Dutch destroyed Spain 5-1 in their opening group B game.

Van Persie scored two goals along with Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben, while Stefan de Vrij also netted as the World Cup holders were humiliated at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador.

Robben described the result as a "deserved win" for his team, saying that "nobody dreamed of a result like this."
