Stoke City 3-1 West Ham: Hammers' defending pathetic - Allardyce

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is disappointed with his team's defensive performance after they were beaten 3-1 by Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

Andy Carroll headed in his first goal since April to give the visitors a perfect start, but Peter Odemwingie scored twice as Stoke came from behind to claim victory.

Allardyce described the Hammers' defending as "pathetic" as they failed to show the form that saw them win four consecutive games in February.
