Carlisle: Courtney Meppen-Walter a 'different person' after prison

Carlisle United defender Courtney Meppen-Walter tells BBC Radio Cumbria the attention he will receive while rebuilding his football career after a fatal car crash is nothing compared with the guilt he feels.

In February, he was sentenced to 16 months in jail after admitting causing death by careless driving following a road traffic collision in which two people were killed.

Meppen-Walter said: "Prison has had a really positive impact on me. There was a lot of time to think and I realised how lucky I am and how much I love football."
