Hull name change row cannot fester - Steve Bruce

Hull boss Steve Bruce says he will talk to owner Assem Allam about his plans to change the name of the club.

Allam wants to abolish the name Hull City, and rebrand the club Hull Tigers. He has also told protesting fans who chant "City 'til I die" at games that they can "die as soon as they want".

Fans held protests at Sunday's victory over Liverpool in opposition to the proposal.

Bruce said that without Allam's investment, "there would not be a club", but adds that the row cannot be allowed to "fester" and overshadow the team's performances in the Premier League.
