Crawley Town: Chief exec Dunford on Richie Barker sacking

Crawley Town chief executive Michael Dunford tells BBC Sussex their ambition to continue progressing was behind their decision to sack manager Richie Barker and his assistant Anthony Williams.

Barker was sacked on Wednesday with the Red Devils 12th in League One while Williams departed on Thursday morning.

The West Sussex club have put chief scout Martin Hinshelwood and striker Gary Alexander in interim charge while they undertake the process of appointing a new manager.
