Cliftonville ease to Shield win over poor Glentoran

Two Stephen Garrett goals help Cliftonville earn a comfortable 3-0 win over a poor Glentoran team in the County Antrim Shield quarter-final at the Oval.

Both teams made several changes from their weekend Premiership games but Glentoran manager Eddie Patterson said that didn't excuse his team's performance.

"People were just not up to the standard that we thought they were. We didn't match them for work-rate. They wanted it more," added the Glentoran boss, who previously managed Cliftonville.
