Danny Higginbotham welcomes Gibraltar international call-up

Danny Higginbotham tells BBC Radio 5 Live that it would be an exciting prospect to represent Gibraltar, although he does not want a potential career at international level to interfere with his commitments at non-league Chester.

The defender, 34, recently joined the Conference Premier club from Sheffield United.

Former Manchester United youngster Higginbotham qualifies for Gibraltar via his grandmother and has agreed in principle to play for the British Overseas Territory, which was granted full membership of Uefa in May.
