Hodgson 'aggrieved' by Welbeck ban

Manager Roy Hodgson is "aggrieved" by Danny Welbeck's yellow card in England's 4-0 win over Moldova, which means the striker is suspended for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier in Ukraine.

The Manchester United forward, who scored two of England's goals, was booked for playing on when the whistle had gone for offside and Hodgson describes the decision as "undeserved" and almost "incomprehensible".

Steven Gerrard opened the scoring and praises England's "pleasing and professional" performance, while striker Rickie Lambert hopes he has done enough to impress Hodgson after scoring his second international goal in as many games.
