Wigan Athletic 'the right job' for new manager Owen Coyle
New Wigan manager Owen Coyle says he has taken "the right job" and says he was attracted to the club by the challenge of returning the Latics to the Premier League.
The former Falkirk, St Johnstone, Burnley and Bolton boss reveals he turned down a number of other opportunities to return to management before taking the job at the DW Stadium following his sacking by Bolton last October.
Wigan were relegated from the top flight after an eight-season tenure in the Premier League in May despite winning the FA Cup, and have since seen manager Roberto Martinez depart for Everton.
Chairman Dave Whelan says Coyle's "enthusiasm is bursting".
