West Ham 1-2 Everton: Allardyce - Referee's decisions cost us

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce says referee Anthony Taylor ''took the result away from us'' after the Hammers lost 2-1 at home to Everton.

Allardyce believes Carlton Cole's sending off for a foul on Leighton Baines was the turning point in a well-contested match and says ''everyone was shocked by the decision".

Everton were reduced to 10 men themselves when Darren Gibson was also sent-off for a similar high footed challenge, and Allardyce admits ''poor finishing'' also led to his side's downfall.
