Racist chants to be dealt with by Uefa says Totteham boss Villas-Boas

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas says he expects Uefa to investigate alleged racist chants directed at his players in their Europa League tie against Lazio on Thursday.

Monkey chants were heard from some visiting supporters aimed at Spurs striker Jermain Defoe during the goalless draw, but Villas-Boas admits he did not hear the chants himself and believes the governing body will decide if action is necessary.

Uefa president Michel Platini was at White Hart Lane, where Defoe's fellow England international Aaron Lennon and team-mate Andros Townsend were also reportedly subject to racist abuse.
