Arsenal lacked sharpness against Wigan - Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger says Arsenal gave themselves too big a task after going 2-0 down at home to Wigan, and thinks his side "lacked sharpness" in the second half as they lost 2-1.

Wigan were two goals ahead after eight minutes thanks to strikes from Franco di Santo and Jordi Gomez, with Thomas Vermaelen replying for the Gunners.

The win puts Roberto Martinez's side five points above the Premier League relegation zone, while Arsenal remain in third place.
