Roy Hodgson on 'saddening' loss to Man City

West Brom manager Roy Hodgson describes the 4-0 defeat by Manchester City as "saddening" for the club.

The Baggies had kept City at bay for much of the first-half, and only trailed 1-0 at the break after Sergio Aguero's strike.

But three more goals in the second period from Aguero again, Tevez and Silva inflicted a fourth defeat in six for West Brom.

While Hodgson admits they were beaten by "a superior team", he feels his players will be dispirited by the defeat.
