Chelsea's Gary Cahill says move helps his England prospects

Chelsea signing Gary Cahill believes he has plenty to learn from his new team-mates, especially his England colleague John Terry, as the £7m defender begins life at Stamford Bridge.

The 26-year-old former Aston Villa and Bolton centre-back feels his prospects of starting for England at Euro 2012 will be improved as he looks forward to challenging for trophies.

Cahill also confirms that he was close to becoming a Tottenham player in the summer before the deal fell through.
