Warnock replacement 'within 48 hours' says QPR CEO Beard

QPR chief executive Philip Beard reveals the club's board expect to announce a replacement for Neil Warnock within "the next 48 hours" after they spent "two or three days" deliberating their decision to sack the veteran manager.

Beard praises the "extraordinary job" Warnock did at Loftus Road, but says they want to give a new manager "the right platform" to develop the "long-term future of the club" in the Premier League, although he would not confirm Mark Hughes as Warnock's replacement.
