Iain Dowie tips Mark Hughes as next QPR manager

Ex-Queens Park Rangers boss Iain Dowie tells BBC Sport he is "surprised" the club have sacked current manager Neil Warnock and thinks Mark Hughes could be favourite to replace him.

Warnock was dismissed after a run of eight games without a win, which has resulted in QPR sitting 17th in the Premier League.

Dowie describes the sacking as "harsh" and says Warnock "deserves respect" for all that he has done for the club, including winning promotion to the top flight last season.
