Bruce relieved after late Sessegnon strike saves Sunderland

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is relieved to "rescue something from the game" after Stephane Sessegnon's late header earned a point for the Black Cats when Richard Dunne's 85th-minute strike looked to have given Aston Villa all three points on Wearside.

Bruce feels his side were chasing the game following Stilyan Petrov's 20th minute wonder strike, and thanked Sebastian Larsson for "getting us out of jail again" as his cross was headed in by Stephane Sessegnon late on.

Bruce also praised the performance of 18-year old Connor Wickham after the former Ipswich striker scored his first Premier League goal.
