Arsenal substitute Van Persie happy to start on bench

Arsenal skipper Robin van Persie says he is not frustrated by Arsene Wenger's decision to start him on the bench for their fixture against Stoke, admitting that he needed rest.

Van Persie, who came on as a second-half substitute to score twice and help Arsenal to a 3-1 win over Stoke, insists he still can improve his game and is determined to grab more goals and assists for the club.

The Dutchman adds he is trying to become an influential Arsenal captain and urges his team-mates to give 100% in every match.
