Steve Bruce 'worried' by lack of Sunderland goals

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce says it is "worrying" that his side are struggling to score goals as they lose 1-0 to Championship side Brighton in the second round of the League Cup.

Craig Makail-Smith's goal in extra-time was enough to knock out the Premier League side, but Bruce believes his side created enough chances to get something out of the game.

It is the second match in a week that Sunderland have failed to score, having lost 1-0 to Newcastle at the weekend, and Bruce admits they are "hugely disappointed" at getting knocked out of the competition at this early stage, but praises Brighton for the style of their victory.
