Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish support an honour - Chris Froome

Tour de France winner Chris Froome says it's a honour to have Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish on his team for the World Road Race Championships in Florence on Sunday.

The 28-year-old is aiming to become the third British winner of the race - after Tommy Simpson and Mark Cavendish - and the first man to win the Tour de France and world title in the same year since America's Greg Lemond in 1989.

Cavendish, the 2011 champion, said the team would "ride with our hearts" and that he would personally "give everything" to the race.
