India v England: No assurances over captaincy - Cook

Alastair Cook admits he has not been given any assurances about his future as captain by England's selectors, after his team beat India by 41 runs in the fifth one-day international.

Three heavy defeats meant England had already lost the series, with one match washed out, but Joe Root's superb 113 laid the foundations for victory.

He shared crucial partnerships with Cook (46) and Jos Buttler (49) as England posted 294-7.
