Jailing Mervyn Westfield would help stop corruption - Haroon Lorgat

Outgoing ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat says he would welcome a prison sentence for former Essex fast bowler Mervyn Westfield who had admitted a corruption charge relating to a one-day game in 2009.

Three Pakistan cricketers were found guilty of spot fixing and given custodial sentences in November and Lorgat thinks if Westfield is given a similar sentence "it would help" to stamp out corruption in the game.
