McKeever on post-Olympic profile and backing 'worthy' causes

Rather than money-spinning appearances and chasing celebrity status, Olympic K1 200m champion Ed McKeever says he is happy with his lower profile, backing causes he feels are "worthy".

McKeever, who will be 32 come the Rio Games, tells BBC Sport's Nick Hope that in order to defend his Olympic title in Brazil he will need to be "fitter and stronger" in 2016.

The sprint-canoe specialist was talking at an event along The River Lea, promoting the National Lottery and Thames21 'Clean up our waterways' Olympic legacy campaign.
