John Conlan tips Northern Ireland boxers for future glory

Northern Ireland's Commonwealth Youth Games coach John Conlan believes the team's medal winners will be a success at future Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

Bantamweight James McGivern, light-fly Stephen McKenna and light-welterweight Aidan Walsh claimed Team NI's first ever boxing golds at the Games in Samoa on Thursday with Tiernan Bradley (lightweight) and Brett McGinty (light-middle) winning silver medals.

"The whole point is looking for potential champions and if they perform the way they've been performing recently, I can't see why more Commonwealth champions and maybe an Olympic medallist comes out of this team." Conlan said.
