Paralympic swimmer Sascha Kindred chosen for fifth Games

Six-time Paralympic gold medallist Sascha Kindred will have the chance to add to his impressive tally after being named in the ParalympicsGB squad for London 2012.

Kindred is one of the most experienced members of the GB team, having made his Paralympic debut in Atlanta in 1996, and he will also be joined on the squad by his wife Nyree, who gave birth to daughter Ella last year and who will be appearing in her fourth Games in London.

BBC Sport's Elizabeth Hudson spoke to Kindred, who will be hoping to defend his 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley titles in the London Aquatics Centre later this year.

The Paralympic Games run from 29 August to 9 September. A total of 25 hours of programmes and news from the London Games will be broadcast on BBC Radio 5 live, with commentary and analysis on 5 live sports extra and reports on the BBC Sport website.
