Commonwealth Games silver medallist Lynsey Sharp has pulled out of next month's Great Edinburgh XCountry.
Sharp, 25, said the race no longer fits into her plans as she is set to spend a "considerable amount of time in the US in January and February."
"I was really looking forward to racing in Edinburgh, something which I don't get to do often," she said on her Twitter.
"I was also looking forward to running XC for the first time in a few years."
Sharp was recently listed as Scotland's highest athlete in the IAAF's end of year rankings following a personal best time of 1:57.71 in the 800 metres she set in Berlin in September.
