Scotland's Laura Muir has qualified for Friday's semi-finals of the 800m at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow.
Muir was last in the eight-strong field in her heat with 200m to go but produced a late surge to claim third spot and a semi-final place.
And the 20-year-old, who set a personal best of 2:00.80 minutes, was delighted.
"I'm just so pleased and shocked," she said.
The Scot added: "I ran my own race as I knew it was going to go off pretty quick. So, I just thought I'd run my own race and I've got a strong finish; I could just use that.
"Down the home straight I felt really good and I could see third place just in front of me. I thought 'I'm just going to get it because this is a slower heat and I don't want to risk fastest loser slots', so I just went for it really.
"When I ran my last 800m it was off my 1500m training so since selection we've changed my training a little bit and that helped quite a lot. A personal best will have to be on the cards again for the next round."
