Lewis Hamilton qualified on pole for Mercedes ahead of Red Bull's world champion Sebastian Vettel and Lotus driver Romain Grosjean, with Vettel's title rivals, Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen, starting fifth and sixth respectively.
