Four Scots in GB World Championships team
Four Scots have been named in the British team for the World Athletics Championships, which start on 27 August in South Korea.
Andrew Lemoncello will compete in the marathon, as will Susan Partridge.
Lee McConnell and Eilidh Child are both included in the 4x400m relay squad as well as competing in the 400m and 400m hurdles, respectively.
Steeplechaser Eilish McColgan misses out after breaking her foot in Sunday's Diamond League event in London.
McConnell, 33, has relay bronze medals from the 2005 and 2007 World Championships.
She told BBC Scotland she reached her qualifying time at Crystal Palace on Sunday with only two days to spare before the deadline, but will be working hard at the training camp ahead of the main event in Daegu in three weeks' time.
"I ran the qualifying time, and even though I knew I could be in the team, it was nice to get the official letter," said McConnell
"I did it with two days to spare, which isn't an ideal situation to be in.
"I was running short of the qualifying time, so it was good to get it at the weekend by quite a bit.
"I've got a few weeks in which to prepare for it, and I'm looking forward to it. I have about ten days in the holding camp before I start to compete."
McConnell's time at Crystal Palace was her fastest for nine years and she hopes to replicate - or better the feat in South Korea.
"The target is to replicate my run at Crystal Palace and improve on it," said McConnell.
"I can't influence other people, but I can concentrate on my own race and improve it as much as possible."
