You can install the BBC Sounds app worldwide* if your device is running on:

  • Amazon Fire OS 5.0 or above
  • Android 5.0 or above
  • iOS 11.3 or above

* The app is not available in a small number of countries. To listen in those countries, use the BBC Sounds website at bbc.co.uk/sounds.

How do I know what operating system my device is running?

Amazon Fire

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings
  2. Tap Settings, then Device
  3. Tap System Updates

Android

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap About Phone/About Device
  3. Scroll down to the Android version

iOS
