Why have BBC radio schedules changed?

Some of our BBC radio stations have made changes to their schedules and programming due to the coronavirus outbreak. During this time, all of our BBC radio schedules may be subject to change. You can find our most up to date schedules online: Schedules menu on the BBC Sounds website

What’s happened to local radio schedules?

All local radio station schedules have been changed temporarily. This is so we can continue to run the Make a Difference campaign, broadcast regular local news and coronavirus updates, and keep you company for as long as possible.

Set programme titles are being used throughout the day for local radio stations:

  • Breakfast on…
  • Mid-morning on…
  • Afternoons on…
  • Evenings on…
  • Lates on…

How can I find a specific local radio programme now?

Some of the programmes you’re used to hearing on your local radio station may be taking a break during this time, or they may be broadcast as part of the new set programmes above.

This means that if you’re searching for a specific programme by its title or the presenter’s name, you may not find any recent episodes.

Instead, we recommend using the specific local station schedule to listen to content from the normal timeslot for that programme. So if the programme you usually listen to is broadcast at 3pm, check the Afternoons on… programme title.
