Best Bakery?
Lonie the baker in Aberdour has a great choice and is extremely good value. Their ruchie rolls, strawberry tarts and steak bridies are scrumptious.

Susan Forsyth
Stephens Bakery, Dunfermline, make delicious stuff, but their Steak Bridies are fantastic - I eat at least 3 a week :)

Andrew Wilson
The best pies in Edinburgh are baked in Bains the Butchers at Stenhouse Cross, Edinburgh. They are always sold out very quickly, so you have to be sharp.

Garvald Bakery (St. Leonard's Lane, Edinburgh) supplies the Engine Shed Café and Bakery, with bread, pastries and organic products, as well as Real Foods in Broughton Street. The bread is moist fresh and makes the white dry stuff you buy in the supermarkets seem like an inferior product.

Sue Lowes, Edinburgh

Fisher and Donaldson
in St Andrews. Carrot cakes, fudge donuts, bean & tottie pies, coffee towers, Bridies. What a place. A pie-eater's paradise.

Without a doubt Fisher & Donaldson in St Andrews - their fudge donuts are addictive!
