In 1994 we tagged along with Billy Connolly in a six-part series 'Billy Connolly's World Tour Of Scotland' and Radio Scotland won national station of the year at the Sony Awards. Peter Capaldi's Tartan Short, Franz Kafka's 'It's a Wonderful Life' won an Oscar in 1995, in the first year the scheme was created, and Judi Dench was nominated for Mrs Brown. Hamish Macbeth was a popular addition to the small screen in 1995 and BBC Scotland's Online department was created, with early websites for children's shows Fully Booked and Activ-8.
