Phil Stenton leads BBC R&D’s User Experience Research Partnerships (UXRP) and the research strategy for the Future Experience Technologies section. He joined the BBC from Falmouth University where he was Professor of Pervasive Media. His research interests grew at the confluence of Psychology, Computer Science and Interaction Design.
Phil built his management and research career at Hewlett-Packard Research Labs (HPL) and has published papers and patents in the areas of stereo-vision, discourse analysis, appliance design, and pervasive media. Prior to leaving HPL Phil co-founded the Pervasive Media Studio with Watershed in Bristol.
