Leading American cartoonist

Dykes To Watch Out For creator Alison Bechdel is currently visiting the UK.  Her cartoons which first appeared in 1983, explore feminist politics and lesbian life and are ranked alongside Gasoline Alley and Doonesbury.  Four of her book length collections have won the Lambda Literary Awards for humour. 

Alison joins Jenni and as well as discussing her work she also puts pen to paper to capture life in the Woman’s Hour studio.
