Joan Brady: Bleedout
The first woman and the only American to win the Whitbread Book of the Year Award

She was born in California and danced with the New York Ballet before becoming a novelist.

Joan tells Jenni why she decided to move into the genre of legal thrillers and how her latest novel Bleedout was inspired by her own experience of the British legal system.
