BBC Radio 4's More Than Words Listening Festival promises to be a unique experience. Over the weekend of 16th to 18th March, BBC Radio 4 and Bristol's most creative artists are joining forces to present an event with sound, stories and the art of listening at its heart.

Expect the unusual and the surprising from a host of storytellers, poets, musicians, sound artists, performers and inventors. We would love you to be part of it and to engage with the world through your ears. We're delighted to have some recognisable Radio 4 voices and faces taking part including Kirsty Young, Clive Anderson, Jonathan Dimbleby, Arthur Smith, Michael Rosen and Roger McGough.

Desert Island Discs will record a special 70th anniversary show in front of an audience with castaway Jamie Cullum. Cerys Matthews will take centre stage with musicians for a magical With Great Pleasure. The wonderful Alison Steadman, Tony Robinson and Geoffrey Palmer will be playing the part of sea creatures in a special series of comic monologues by writer Lynne Truss and there will be a unique comedy adaptation of Sherlock Holmes and The Hound of the Baskervilles evoking the days of old time audio theatre.
