Luke’s love of sound and radio was cemented on his tenth birthday when he visited his local station, BBC Radio Norfolk. He joined its ranks a few years later as a trails producer and soon became a regular stand-in presenter.
After a while, Luke left the BBC to live in South Africa where he worked at a special needs community near Cape Town. On his return to the UK, he spent time at radio stations across East Anglia, before joining BBC Radio 4 in 2011. He was heard by a worldwide audience of around 900 million people the following year, reading the shipping forecast during the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.
Away from broadcasting, Luke is a qualified pilot and an unqualified guitarist.
