James Nathan was winner of MasterChef in 2008.

Since winning MasterChef, James Nathan has dedicated himself to cooking professionally. Long gone is his career as a barrister and he has now had a number of head chef posts, including at the St Enodoc Hotel in Cornwall, and Bristol Lido. His company, “by James Nathan” offers private tasting menus at home, restaurant consultancy, and delicious food for weddings and parties.
James worked under many exceptional chefs (Michel Roux Jnr, Michael Caines, Sebastian Bras, Richard Corrigans & Rick Stein) and has developed an effortless style using the best seasonal British ingredients.
During the competition he showed great skill in preparing seafood and game dishes. He has continued in this vein and now has the perfect platform from which he can express his ever growing skills as a professional chef; all thanks to his success on MasterChef!
