About the show

Living and working in the countryside is for many 9 to 5 workers caught in the rat race something of a pipe dream.

However an unprecedented number of people are upping sticks from the town to country in the hunt for a different lifestyle. For many the inspiration to actually make that dream a reality, is meeting someone and falling in love.

As part of a new BBC Two series to air next year, Sara Cox is going back to her farming roots in the hope of helping single people living and working in the countryside to find love with urbanites seeking their perfect partner - and a dramatically different lifestyle.

From dairy farmers to rural vets, farriers to pig breeders eight single people isolated from the urban dating pool are ready to not only see if they can meet their match, but also to introduce a potential partner to the true realities of life in the country.

They may live in some of Britain’s most idyllic rural countryside locations but that very remoteness means they find it difficult to find someone to share the stunning scenery.

Over the summer single people from the countryside will be given the chance to find love and you could have the chance to date one of them. So if you’re single, looking for a new way of life and thinking that the grass may be greener, then view their Dating Profiles and see if anyone takes your fancy.
