Danni Barry

Danni heads up the kitchen at Eipic in Belfast.

Originally from County Down in Northern Ireland, she is protégé of chef Michael Deane and began her cooking career at his Michelin starred restaurant, Deanes, in 2003.

Danni went on to work under Raymond McCardle at Restaurant 23 as sous chef for two years.

She has since worked for Great British Menu champion Simon Rogan and was appointed head chef at Rogan & Co in Cartmel where she stayed for two years before returning to Northern Ireland to open Eipic in 2014.

She is passionate about her region, and believes in fresh and seasonal produce, cooked to perfection. This will be her first time in the competition, and her menu is based on the activities of the WI, cookery competitions, community and causes, as well as her Mum who has been a great inspiration.
