Tim Anderson is an American-British chef, restaurateur, writer, and radio personality based in London.
A lifelong student of Japanese gastronomy, Anderson is now the author of five Japanese cookbooks: Your Home Izakaya (2021), Vegan Japaneasy (2020), Tokyo Stories (2019), Japaneasy (2017) and Nanban: Japanese Soul Food (2015). He is also the proprietor of the Japanese fusion restaurant Nanban, with branches in Brixton and Covent Garden.
He is a regular panellist on the BBC Radio 4 programme The Kitchen Cabinet, and has contributed articles to The Guardian, National Geographic Traveller, The Telegraph, Newsweek, and Vittles.
Tim currently resides in Lee, South London, with his wife Laura, daughter Tig, and FIV-positive cat Baloo.
