Film Festival Project Manager
Tilly discovered sewing 2 years ago when she was looking for something creative to do with her hands and ‘it was love at first stitch’. Now she has an extensive hand-made wardrobe which reflects her own unique style. She enjoys the fact that the fashion industry no longer dictates what she should wear and she finds she doesn’t throw her clothes away anymore because she’s invested time and effort into each garment.
Tilly spent a year studying in Paris where she became immersed in French culture. She now lives in London and works with independent cinemas advising them on their film programming – many of her favourite films are French and have influenced her style.
Since she started sewing, Tilly has written a blog where she shares everything she’s made with the internet sewing community and she’s built up quite a following. As well as her solo sewing projects, she takes part in a craft group with other like-minded stitchers at her local pub.
