Louis Smith

Winner of series ten in 2012

Fresh from his Olympic glory in the summer of 2012, Louis turned bronze into glitter by lifting the coveted Strictly trophy alongside parter Flavia Cacace.

'I can finally say I won something in the year 2012

In probably one of the most hotly contested finals in Strictly history, Louis faced stiff competition from fellow finalists, Kimberley Walsh, Denise Van Outen and Danni Harmer. Playing to his strengths, Louis used his gymnastic talents to great effect, bringing the pommel horse moves to the Strictly dancefloor in a thrilling showdance.

It hadn't always been plain sailing for Louis throughout the competition he was criticized for his lack of characterisation, and it wasn't until week 9 when his animated Charleston caused head judge Len to remark "Shut up, close the door and call me Mary! I'm telling you Louis you've got a personality and you come out and performed"
